Speech and Language Therapist, Chester
The Supply Service are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist on behalf of a client based in Chester, Cheshire.
Our client seek to add a specialist Speech and Language Therapist to their team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of their pupils. Duties include working alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for making a lasting difference
This role would be suitable for candidates with knowledge and experience in line with agenda for change band 6. We would also consider applications from individuals looking for a band 5/6 development post. Please note that this role is not suitable for newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists
Key Duties:
- Deliver specialised speech, language, and communication support to children and young people (aged 4-19) with complex autism, learning difficulties, and behaviours that challenge, within a school setting.
- Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure every pupil's needs are understood, accurately planned for, and closely monitored.
- Empower teaching staff with expert advice to support pupils' communication development, driving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Provide both direct and indirect therapy to individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring tailored care and support.
Desired:
- A qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience working with children with autism and complex needs, or transferrable skills from similar fields
- A commitment to evidence-based practices and a passion for helping children thrive
